Administration

Estate administration is the process during which the executor, personal representative, or administrator gathers all of the assets a deceased individual owned in his or her name, without any beneficiary designation, pays the deceased individual’s creditors and distributes the balance of the assets according to the deceased individual’s last will and testament or, if the deceased individual died without a will, the state’s law of intestate succession.
