Grantor
Generally, any person who transfers property to another individual or trust. If more than one person creates or contributes property to a trust, each such person is a grantor with respect to the portion of the trust property attributable to that person’s contribution, except to the extent another person has the power to revoke or withdraw that portion. A grantor is also referred to as a “settlor,” “trustor,” “founder,” “creator,” or “donor.”
